1 About MavYa

MavYa is a food-label scanning and product-information application operated by AI Solution For You.

MavYa is designed to help users understand packaged-food information, including:

• ingredients;
• additives;
• nutrition information;
• allergens and precautionary statements;
• processing characteristics;
• dietary preferences;
• expiry information;
• Food Quality Scores;
• product alternatives.

MavYa uses product databases, software rules, label-reading technology and AI-assisted processing to provide these features.

MavYa provides informational food and product guidance only.

2 Who May Use MavYa

MavYa is intended to be used directly by adults aged 18 or over.

Adults may use MavYa to help manage food preferences for members of their household, including children.

Parents or guardians should manage profiles created for children.

If you provide information about another person, such as allergy or dietary information, you should only do so where you are authorised to provide or manage that information.

3 Accounts and Guest Mode

Some MavYa features can be used through Guest Mode, while other features may require a registered account.

You are responsible for:

• providing accurate information where required;
• maintaining the security of your account;
• using MavYa lawfully;
• keeping access to your device and account reasonably secure.

Guest accounts and associated information may expire according to MavYa's retention practices.

4 AI-Assisted Analysis

MavYa uses artificial intelligence to assist with tasks such as:

• reading food labels;
• extracting ingredients and nutrition information;
• explaining product information;
• answering product-related questions;
• supporting product-alternative suggestions.

AI systems can make mistakes. AI-generated or AI-extracted information may be:

• inaccurate;
• incomplete;
• misinterpreted;
• based on incomplete product information;
• affected by image quality;
• affected by changes to a manufacturer's recipe or packaging.

The current physical product packaging should always be checked when ingredient, allergen or dietary information is important.

5 Allergens and Product Suitability

MavYa can help identify allergen information contained in the product information available to it. However, MavYa cannot guarantee that a product is free from a particular allergen or suitable for every individual.

An allergen being:

• not detected;
• not identified;
• absent from available database information;

does not guarantee that the product is free from that allergen.

Information may be incomplete because of:

• incomplete or outdated product databases;
• label-reading errors;
• unclear packaging;
• reformulated products;
• regional differences;
• missing ingredient information;
• missing or unreadable precautionary statements;
• "may contain" or cross-contact warnings.

Users with serious food allergies or sensitivities should always check the current physical packaging, including the ingredient list and precautionary allergen statements.

Where information is unclear, users should check directly with the product manufacturer before deciding whether a product is appropriate for them.

6 Dietary Preferences

MavYa may compare product information against dietary preferences selected by the user.

These results depend on the information available to MavYa and may not identify every issue relevant to a particular dietary preference.

A dietary classification does not imply anything about unrelated allergens. For example, a product being identified as vegan does not mean it is automatically free from nuts, gluten or other allergens.

Always check the current product packaging where this information is important.

7 Food Quality Score

MavYa may calculate a Food Quality Score using available product evidence and defined scoring rules.

The Food Quality Score provides an informational assessment of characteristics of a packaged food. It should not be interpreted as:

• confirmation that a product is suitable for every person;
• confirmation that a product is allergen-free;
• a guarantee about how a product will affect an individual;
• a substitute for checking the current product label.

AI may assist MavYa in extracting or interpreting product information, but the Food Quality Score is calculated using MavYa's defined scoring methodology.

Scores may change if:

• product information changes;
• additional label information becomes available;
• a manufacturer changes its formulation;
• MavYa updates its scoring methodology.

8 Product Information and Third-Party Data

MavYa obtains product information from sources that may include:

• information scanned directly from product packaging;
• product and manufacturer data;
• Open Food Facts;
• other product-information sources.

Third-party product information may be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date.

Manufacturers may change ingredients, recipes, nutrition information, allergen statements or packaging without those changes immediately appearing in external databases.

For this reason, the current physical manufacturer packaging is the primary source of information about the product you are considering.

9 Product Alternatives

MavYa may suggest alternative products or product characteristics. Alternative suggestions are informational only.

MavYa does not guarantee that a suggested alternative:

• is better for every person;
• meets every individual preference;
• is allergen-free;
• remains available;
• has not changed formulation;
• meets every dietary requirement.

Always check the current packaging before purchasing or consuming an alternative product.

10 MavYa Pro, Purchases and Subscriptions

MavYa may offer free functionality and paid MavYa Pro subscription plans.

Subscriptions are purchased through:

• Google Play on supported Android devices; or
• the Apple App Store on supported Apple devices.

RevenueCat may be used to manage subscription entitlement and access status. The price, subscription period and included benefits are shown before you complete a purchase.

Automatic renewal

Where you purchase an auto-renewing subscription, it will renew automatically unless you cancel it in accordance with the rules of the applicable app store before the next renewal.

Cancellation

You can manage or cancel your subscription through the applicable app-store subscription settings. Cancelling normally prevents future renewal. You will generally continue to have access until the end of the period you have already paid for, subject to the applicable store rules.

Deleting MavYa does not necessarily cancel an active subscription.

Trials and promotional offers

Where MavYa offers a free trial, introductory price or promotional subscription, the applicable conditions will be displayed before purchase. Unless cancelled as described at purchase, a trial may convert into a paid subscription.

Refunds

Purchases and refunds are generally administered by the store through which the purchase was made and are subject to the relevant Google Play or Apple App Store policies.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

11 Acceptable Use

You may use MavYa for lawful personal use.

You must not:

• use MavYa for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to MavYa or another user's account;
• interfere with the operation or security of the service;
• deliberately overwhelm, scrape or abuse MavYa systems;
• bypass usage limits, subscriptions or security controls;
• distribute malicious software;
• extract substantial amounts of MavYa data without permission;
• impersonate another person.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, MavYa or our service providers.

12 Your Content

You may submit information to MavYa including:

• food-label photographs;
• product information;
• questions to the AI assistant;
• profile preferences.

You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You give MavYa permission to process that content only as reasonably necessary to:

• provide the requested feature;
• operate and secure MavYa;
• maintain scan history where selected;
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

13 Intellectual Property

MavYa, its branding, software, user interface, original content, scoring methodology and related intellectual property belong to AI Solution For You or its licensors, except where otherwise stated.

Third-party trademarks, product names, data and content remain the property of their respective owners.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive and revocable right to use MavYa for its intended purpose.

14 Service Availability and Changes

We aim to keep MavYa available and reliable, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. MavYa may occasionally be unavailable because of:

• maintenance;
• technical failures;
• connectivity problems;
• service-provider outages;
• app-store issues;
• security events;
• circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may add, remove or change features as MavYa develops. Where a change materially affects a paid service or your legal rights, reasonable notice will be provided where required.

15 Important Information About Using MavYa

MavYa is designed to help users understand food labels and product information. It should not be used as the sole basis for an important ingredient, allergen or dietary decision.

Product formulations, packaging and database information can change. Always verify important information using the current physical product packaging.

If product information is unclear or inconsistent, contact the manufacturer before relying on the information.

16 Accuracy and Service Limitations

MavYa aims to provide useful and accurate information, but we cannot guarantee that:

• every product will be recognised;
• every label will be read correctly;
• every ingredient or allergen will be identified;
• every database record will be current;
• every AI response will be correct;
• every product suggestion will be suitable;
• MavYa will always be available without interruption.

These limitations do not affect rights you have under applicable consumer law.

17 Liability and Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to those protections, MavYa is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms.

MavYa is also not responsible for loss caused solely by matters outside our reasonable control, including failures of third-party networks, app stores or external product databases.

MavYa is intended for personal consumer use. We are not responsible for business losses arising from personal use of MavYa.

18 Suspension and Termination

You may stop using MavYa at any time. You may delete your account using the available account controls. Deleting your MavYa account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play or Apple App Store subscription.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:

• serious or repeated breaches of these Terms;
• fraud or abuse;
• security threats;
• unlawful activity;
• legal requirements;
• discontinuation of the service.

Where appropriate and reasonably possible, we will provide notice.

19 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when MavYa, our services or applicable requirements change.

The Last updated date at the top of this page shows when the Terms were most recently revised.

Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to users' attention where appropriate. Changes will not remove statutory consumer rights.

If you do not agree to materially updated Terms, you may stop using MavYa and cancel future subscription renewal through the relevant app store.

20 App Store Terms

Your use of MavYa may also be subject to the terms and policies of the platform through which you obtained the app, including:

• Apple App Store terms and policies;
• Google Play terms and policies.

Where those platform terms give you additional rights, these Terms do not remove those rights.

21 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from relying on rights available under applicable consumer law.
